One in three children living in conflict or fragile countries around the world were out of school in 2024 which was three times the rate of children globally missing out on education, according to new analysis by Save the Children.

On November 12 and 13 the St. Eustatius Public Library hostedthe exhibition of a young Haitian painter, sculpture, and digital artist residing in the Netherlands, Frederick Calmes. The exhibition consists of twelve artworks created for the family heritage project “Remember Statia: Tracing Our Origins” organized by the Bigi Bon foundation and the St. Eustatius Afrikan Burial Ground Alliance from April to October 2024.
